Personal Profile
I was educated as St. Marylebone Grammar School, London and qualified as a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Manchester University, Dental School in 1975, \\
I have practiced dentistry in Manchester, Windsor and Weybridge as well as spending almost 10 years in Caversham, Reading as an expense-sharing partner.
I am married to Chris who very ably manages our practice. as well as being our practice receptionist. She is a qualified dental nurse and Dental Sedation Assistant. We have two grown and independent children and a first grandson born in 2010.
About the practice
In January 2010 we will began our 21st year at St.Mary's House in Newbury and I think we can say we have arrived and we are now well established, although there has been a Dental Practice here since 1979.
I believe we have built an excellent reputation in the town, as a caring and professional dental practice, providing a wide range of services to an excellent standard.
You will find us on the first floor of St. Mary’s House, just a minute from the railway station. The practice has a warm and welcoming ambience. We consider our patients as friends and many will just drop in for a coffee and to show us their holiday or wedding photos.
We are especially proud of the number of people for whom we have made a tremendous difference to their self confidence by improving their smile and also for those for whom we have entirely changed their fearful feelings towards dentists and dental treatment.
Our achievements
Ours was the first dental practice in Berkshire to have been accredited by BUPA DentalCover in 1994, a mark of our commitment to excellence in General Dental Practice. I was appointed a Regional Dental Adviser by BUPA for 2 years, assisting other dentists achieve their accredited status.
In 1999 I was awarded Full Membership to the British Academy Of Aesthetic Dentistry , at the time one of less than 100 dentists in the UK to achieve this highest form of Membership.
I am both a member of and on the mentor's list for The Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry and The Dental Sedation Teachers Group.
I also am a member of the Association of Dental Implantologists
